At Togwotee Snowcat Guides you will find some of the most experienced snowcat guides in the United States. All of our guides are Level III avalanche certified through the American Avalanche Institute. Most either work currently or have worked as Ski Patrolmen. A minimum of Wilderness First Responder or Outdoor Emergency Care is required medical training of all our guides. Avid backcountry skiers and mountaineers, you will find our crew in the mountains even on their days off. Most guide year round: mountain guiding, river guiding and fishing, here in Western Wyoming and Idaho. We have guides of all disciplines, alpine skier, snowboarder, and telemark skier, to assist you with whatever your style may be. Our guides love what they do, and they are thrilled to share the beauty and challenge of Angle Mountain with you.
Lead Guide
One of the country’s first snowboard guides, Jamie has lead the way for both skiers and snowboarders for the past 15 years. As TSG’s lead guide Jamie has logged more time on Angle Mountain than the Angle’s themselves. His backcountry career began on Angle Mo
untain and quickly brought him to the Tetons and the Chugach range of Alaska. Jamie divides his guiding time between Togwotee Snowcat Guides and the Jackson Hole Alpine Guides during the winter, then heads north to Alaska to guide for Valdez Heli Ski Guides in the spring. A lifelong class five river guide, Jamie has guided commercial river trips in West Virginia, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona, New York, and Maine. Jamie has worked as an avalanche forecaster for TSG and avalanche instructor for the National Forest Service. Jamie has completed Professional Avalanche Level 3, winter weather forecasting, AASI level 2 snowboard instructor, and the American Mountain Guide Association Ski Mountaineering Guide course.
Guide
A pioneer of the Tetons and the Chugach range in Alaska, Jeff has logged over 100 days a year for the last 25 seasons, some of those with 250 days in one year. In 1993 Jeff placed 2nd in the World Extreme Skiing Championships held in Valdez Alaska. Jeff keeps busy in the winter ski patrolling at Snow King Resort, ski instructing at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and guiding here at Togwotee Snowcat Guides, before heading to AK in the spring to guide for Valdez Heli Ski Guides. Jeff is certified Outdoor Emergency Care and PSIA level 3.

Brenden Cronin (a.k.a. Shovler) spent last season as Togwotees apprentice
guide and has moved up to
a full guide this season. Brenden spent time as a ski patroller in Utah. A graduate of the University of Maine with a B.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Brenden knows how to show you a fun and memorable time in the mountains. Brenden spends his summers kayaking and guiding rivers in Idaho. Brenden is an Outdoor Emergency Care giver and has completed Professional Avalanche Level 3.
Snowcat Operator/Apprentice Guide
Michael was born in the town of Durango Colorado. An avid skiier he has spent countless hours in the backcountry of the South San Juan mountains. He has his Avalanche 1 saftey. Aside from skiing in the winter he is trying to hone his carpentry skills. If he is not working you will find in the woods hunting or on a river fly fishing.

Jamie has been a ski patroller for 11 yea
rs. He has worked in the Cascades, Tetons, French Alps, and the Wasatch. For nine years Jamie has been raft guiding. He currently spends his summers guiding on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, and the Main Salmon River. When Jamie isn't skiing or rafting, he is usually trying to pursue his latest passion, surfing.
Snowcat Operator
Born on the banks of the mighty Snake River, bred in the mountains of the
Northwest. The same pioneering spirit that guided generations of
his family to settle in the west, aides to take you safely to the top of the mountain. Getting back down, is up to you, and your skilled guide.
Office Manager/Apprentice Guide
Jo grew up rafting and skiing in the mountains in Idaho. She was born and raised in Salmon, Idaho and her passion is playing on the river. Aside from exploring backcountry terrain on her split-board, you can find her fishing, hiking or throwing snowballs at the guides to maintain order in the office.
Guide
The prusuit of deep snow and big mountains led Travers to the Jackson Hole Valley seven years ago. He is a year round resident working in Grand Teton National Park in the summer and helping people enjoy the beauty of the mountains in the winter. Travers is certified with the American Avalanche Institute, and has been an Outdoor Emergency Care Provider since 2003. He is also certified level 3 with the American Association of Snowbaord Instructors and a member of the National Ski Patrol.

A Snowboarder for close to twenty years, Brendan is a third season
guide for Togwotee Snowcat Skiing. In addition, Brendan works at the
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as a snowboard instructor, guide, coach
and trainer. His certifications include Avalanche 3 for Mountain
Guides, Wilderness First Responder, DECL Backcountry Trainer, and
Level 3 Snowboard Instructor. Brendan has been a mountaineering
instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School for seven years
and has recently started guiding and instructing rock climbing and
mountaineering for Exum Mountain Guides.
