Snowmobile to Old Faithful

Snowmobile to Old Faithful

Old Faithful Yellowstone Snowmobile Tour

Yellowstone National Park is a winter wildlife sanctuary, where herds of bison and elk gather, wolves prowl, and bears sleep. This tour features a visit to Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone. Many photographic opportunities will be presented throughout the day, including waterfalls, canyons, other geysers and thermal features, and more than likely, several wildlife sightings. After exploring the world’s first national park, the group will return to the South Entrance for the trip back to Jackson Hole.

The highlight of this trip is Old Faithful, the largest concentration of geysers and hotspots. You'll make several stops along the way viewing wildlife and scenery and learning about the history and geological features of the Park.

Your guide will pick you up between 6:00 am and 7:00 am at your lodging in Jackson Hole and bring you to Flagg Ranch, our office at the South Entrance of Yellowstone. Here you will have breakfast and be outfitted with snowmobile gear- boots, one-piece snowsuit, helmet, gloves, and balaclava. From Jackson to the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park is about 1.5 hours drive, so you can expect to be on your snowmobile around 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

Once on your snowmobile, you'll travel approximately 45 miles on groomed trails to Old Faithful Geyser, making several stops along the way. Points of interest may include Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, and West Thumb Geyser Basin. You'll see Old Faithful erupt and have lunch before continuing on your adventure back to Flagg Ranch. You'll return to your lodging around 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
